Here are some alternatives to mint tea as in Morocco each region has their own recipes for Mint tea.
For example in the South of Morocco the Nomads don't use Mint and just the gun powder making it a very strong and sweet tea.

Berbers from the Sous region rarely use fresh Mint, some use a tea spoon of Saffron threads as an addition to the tea (this would be costly if you don’t live in Morocco)

When you travel more north in Morocco the mint is used in abundance. You can also use a tea spoon of dry oregano or a few leafes of fresh absinthe and peppermint.
